It’s all in the name: This fresh fruit and ginger smoothie will help you put your best foot forward.
This smoothie would be great with a variety of other fruit. Try substituting the same quantity of fresh or frozen blackberries, raspberries, or even chopped mango.
Ingredients
1 c. frozen strawberries
1/2 c. fresh blueberries
1/2 c. fresh orange juice
2 tsp. chopped and peeled fresh ginger
1/4 c. plain low-fat (1-percent) yogurt
2 cube ice
Directions
- In blender, combine strawberries, blueberries, orange juice, ginger, yogurt, and ice cubes.
- Blend until smooth, scraping down side of container occasionally.
8. Blueberry-Banana-Nut Smoothie
A little nut butter can give you the protein boost your morning needs.
Ingredients
1 c. unsweetened almond milk
1 frozen banana
1/2 c. frozen blueberries
2 tbsp. almond butter
Directions
- In a blender, add ingredients in the order they are listed. Purée ingredients until smooth.
