9. Spiced Blueberry Smoothie Bowl
Add tons of volume (without extra sugar) with frozen cauliflower. It offers a creamy texture and very little taste. Genius!
Ingredients
1 c. frozen blueberries
1 banana, sliced and frozen
1/2 c. frozen cauliflower
1/2 c. unsweetened almond milk, plus more as needed
3 tbsp. 3 Tbsp unsweetened pea protein (vanilla or regular) tein (vanilla or regular)
1 tsp. flaxseed
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground ginger
Fresh berries and buckwheat granola, for serving
Directions
- In a blender, puree all ingredients until smooth (mixture will be thick), adding additional almond milk a little at a time as necessary to adjust consistency. Transfer to a bowl and top with fresh berries and buckwheat granola.

Dragon fruit not only brings bright, stunning color to this smoothie, the tropical fruit is packed with fiber and magnesium to keep your blood pressure and blood sugar levels in check.
Ingredients
1 c. frozen diced red dragon fruit (we used Pitaya brand)
3/4 c. steeped hibiscus tea, chilled
1/2 c. sliced frozen banana (from about ½ medium banana)
3 tbsp. coconut milk
Kosher salt
Vanilla extract
Directions
- In a blender, puree dragon fruit, tea, banana, coconut milk, a pinch of salt, and a few drops of vanilla extract until smooth, 1 minute.
If you’re using fresh fruit, scoop out the flesh of 1 dragon fruit (one 1-Ib fruit yields about 10 oz of fruit flesh); cut into cubes and measure out 1 cup, then place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze until firm, 4 hr; transfer to freezer-safe container or bag.
