Recipes for Healthy Macaroni and Cheese for Toddlers


1. Simple Mac N Cheese:

You will need:
A packet of Macaroni
1/3rd cup of grated cheese
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup of milk
Salt (not recommended before 12 months of age as their kidneys can’t handle)
How To:

Boil the pasta as per the instructions on the packet and let it cool.
Melt the butter in a pan and add the flour. Add the milk and cook over low heat until the white sauce thickens. Add the cheese and stir until it melts. Add a dash of seasoning.


2. Baked Macaroni And Cheese:

You Will Need:

2 tbsp Kosher salt (may use herbs for babies below 12 months)
A packet of Macaroni
4 Tbsp butter
4 Tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups of milk
2 cups of grated cheese
½ cup of breadcrumb
4 Tbsp unsalted butter
How To:

Preheat the oven to 350 degree F. Grease a casserole dish with butter.
Boil water, now add salt and macaroni. Cook, drain and keep the macaroni aside.
Melt the butter in a pan and add the flour and salt. Add the milk and keep cooking until the white sauce thickens. Add cheese and stir until it completely melts. Add macaroni and mix.
In a bowl, add the breadcrumbs and butter. Mix well.
Put the macaroni and cheese in the casserole dish and add the breadcrumbs on top. Bake for 15 minutes.
Once thoroughly cooked, serve this cheesy comfort food right away.
